About Us!

Founded in 2015 by Brett Hill and Yasmine Janjua, Black River Letterpress & Paper Co. has come a long way from its beginnings in basement workshop at Brett’s parents home. When we first started out, the goal was to just be able to print our wedding invitations on a letterpress printing press we had found in a salvage yard. From there Brett started to design and print Christmas gift cards using some vintage image cuts he had found in local antique shops. The next year, we added some greeting cards and started to sell our products at local craft shows and online.

Our humour is somewhat snide and absurd, we like taking something old and making it new again. All of our letterpress products are printed using wood or lead type and vintage image cuts.
